What is traveline cymru?
It's a service which
provides impartial timetable and journey planning information about
all public transport services - buses, coaches and trains in Wales. It also provides National rail and coach timetables
for the whole of the UK. We can even tell you how to get to the
stop from which you need to travel.
The
traveline cymru phone line opened in
2000, the
traveline cymru website went live in
2003, Modus personalised travel plans went live in 2004 and
Traveline.txt was launched in 2005.
How can I contact
traveline cymru by phone?
You can phone
traveline cymru on 0871 200 22 33 - you
will be directed to our bilingual call centre in Porthmadog. Calls
cost 10p per minute. Lines are open between
7am and 10pm
every day (except 25 and 26
December and 1st January); call
centres in some areas are open over different hours.
Does
traveline cymru provide fare
information?
The
traveline cymru call centre can
provide you with the majority of bus fares but as yet this
information is not available on the web site. However, please visit
our new
fares page which highlights
some popular tickets.
Can
traveline cymru answer journey plans by
e-mail?
We try to respond to
every email as soon as possible, but in the first instance please
use the journey planner or contact traveline
cymru by phone.
Who runs
traveline cymru?
traveline cymru is operated by
PTI Cymru Ltd, a non profit
making company based on a partnership between the Welsh Assembly
Government, local authorities and bus operators.
PTI Cymru Ltd is responsible for
collecting and organising all of the timetable information for
use by the traveline cymru
call centre, website and Traveline.txt. This information is also
used by local authorities for real-time bus stop information, and
information at the bus stop.
PTI Cymru Ltd is also
responsible for marketing traveline cymru
