Travelling with a bike.
This page lets you know
which bus and train services bicycles can be taken on.
Trains:
Bikes can be carried on most Arriva Trains Wales train services
(free of charge.) Reservation is essential on some services and
certain restrictions apply - please call 0871 200 22 33 for details.
National
Express:
Bikes can be carried on services if they are packed flat and wrapped
in a purpose made bag or case - please see the Terms and Conditions
on their web site for more details (see
Links page)
Buses/
Coaches:
TrawsCambria
services -
Buses operating on services X32 and X94 are equipped with racks
which can carry a maximum of two bikes. The facility is available on
a first come, first served basis. Bikes can only be loaded or
unloaded at certain points - these loading/ unloading points can be
found here
100:
Bicycles can be carried on the Cardiff - Swansea shuttle service
(100) - operated by First Cymru.
387: Coastal Cruiser:
(Pembroke Dock - Pembroke - Angle - Freshwater West - Castlemartin,
Bosherston, Stackpole and Freshwater East) can carry up to 2
bicycles (and surfboards!) (operated by Silcox)
S2:
Snowdon Sherpa (S2)- Llandudno - Betws-y-Coed - Snowdon: all
journeys are normally operated by a bus with a cycle pen - (operated
by Alpine)
Beacons
Bus: B1 (Brecon - Cardiff), B7 (Hay On Wye - Llanvihangel Crucorney) and B8
(Brecon - Abergavenny) on
Summer Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays carry cycles -
