Traveline Tim – The Travel Information Man
Representatives of the public transport industry from all over the UK arrived in Swansea on Tuesday 31st July to meet Wales’ new mascot for public transport information. Joining them was the Head of Integrated Transport at the Welsh Assembly Government, Mr Colin Eaketts, to underline the Welsh Assembly’s backing for Wales’ unique travel information service.
The new face of public transport information is an animated character called Traveline Tim, the Travel Information Man. Tim is the newest team member at Traveline Cymru and he made his first public appearance with Mr Colin Eaketts, the Head of Integrated Transport at the National Waterfront Museum on Tuesday 31st July in front of an audience of over 50 people from all over Wales and the UK.
Traveline Tim is the creation of Plum Design & Advertising Ltd and was designed as a method of delivering the message that Traveline Cymru has a new telephone number. For all public transport information in Wales, callers can ring 0871 200 22 33 to speak to friendly bilingual agents from 7:00am until 10:00pm seven days a week.
