Cardiff Airport Security Alert.

 

Due to security alerts at Cardiff Airport, bus services are not able to call at the stop on the airport forecourt, as no vehicles are permitted to drive into to the drop off / pick up area.

 

This affects the following bus services:

 

Cardiff Bus services X91 / 95 (early am journey)

Veolia services X45 / X5

EST services 145 / 146

 

Cardiff Bus services are taking a diversionary route, with services to Rhoose and Llantwit Major continuing on the A4226 to the roundabout junction with Dragonfly Drive (thus omitting the Hotel International stop) and then operating via airport access roads to pass within walking distance of the airport. Journeys to Cardiff run via the reverse of this route. 

 

Veolia services will be using operating via the normal route but will use Tredogan Road to exit the airport and to keep providing a service to Barry College Rhoose Campus.

 

EST has not specified diversionary routes, but it is likely they will follow the same route as Cardiff Bus.

 

We have been advised that if passengers can, then they could use the bus stops called Airport Business Park (which are outside Holiday Inn Express) as all buses pass these stops to access / leave the airport.
